The Arctic tern (Sterna paradisaea) is a small, gray-and-white seabird famous for the longest known migration of any animal, flying up to 96,000 km (nearly 60,000 miles) annually from the Arctic to Antarctica and back. They experience two summers per year, enjoying more daylight than any other creature.
